Object Description
Red and faded pink. Handwoven with overall cross design and narrow crochet edge. Four narrow red ovals meet at an X in the middle, and in the squares in between the ovals, there is a red and pink checked pattern. The designs are done in red, whilc the pink acts as a base. The opposite side has the inverse design. The narrow crochet edge is done in red and are only along the top and the bottom.
Origin
Some blankets were used as a part of a dowry for women. They were stacked up in a pile that the prospective groom would look at before agreeing to marriage.
