Object Description
A United States passport used to travel in the 1930's. The exterior is a deep red with gold lettering on the front and the United States symbol. There is a small slit in the top of the front cover exposing a number on the first page. Inside the print is in English. There is handwritting on the inside cover as well as throughout the pages. A photograph of the passoport holder is glued to page 4. There are visa stamps through page 15 and one more on page 32, leaving the remainder of the pages blank. The back cover contains a customs sticker at the top. The front inside cover as well as the back inside cover has English type on it. A large red seal is stamped on page 2. The passport holder's information is typed rather than written.
Origin
The passport is for the donor's great grandfather, John Melonedes. This type of passport was issued in 1930.
