Object Description
Leaf shaped wooden bread stamp with a handle. The stamp is an intricate relgious symbol with a cross at the top and a two headed bird with outstretched wings beneath it.
Origin
A prosforo stamp is used to mark Holy Bread with a symbol before baking. This was accompanied by a note: "The wooden stamp is used to make the mark on Holy Bread before it is baked. This is from Greece and was given to me (donor) 6-3-95 by Thea Milto Kapteros. It was her mother's. It must be over 90 years old"
