The framed postcard depicts "The Hero Kolokotronis," Theodoros Kolokotronis, a prominent general during the Greek War of Independence (1821-1829) against the Ottoman Empire. The stamps depict various scenes from Karaghiozis shadow puppet plays and various characters.
