Object Description
A certificate awarded by Greek school of Socrates. The diploma is printed on beige stationery with decorative blue and gold border surrounding the text printed with black ink. In the middle of the document is the side profile of Socrates. The certificate is written all in Greek which reads, The student, Georgios A. Papagelis from Sparta, aged 10 who attend all the Greek and English classes taught in the third grade of this school during the school year 1938..1939, was promoted to the D! grade with a grade of Very good. His conduct was Keopia in Chicago on June 14, 1932." The document is sign by the teacher and principle located at the bottom.
