Object Description
A certificate awarded by Greek school of Socrates. The diploma is printed on beige stationery with a decorative blue and gold border surrounding the text printed in black ink. In the middle of the document is the side profile of Socrates. The certificate is written all in Greek which reads, "The student, Georgios Papagelis from Vassara, aged 9 who attend all the Greek and English classes taught in class B! during the school year 1937..19398 was promoted to the Γ!(Gamma) class with a grade of Very good. The conduct was Keopia on June 19, 1938." The document is sign by the teacher and principle located at the bottom.

The object is owned by the Powers family and is connected to other items and photographs within the same collection.
