Object Description
A black and white photograph depicting two people in a room with benches, a loom (?) leaning against the window on the left, and clothing items hanging on the back wall. One person is sitting behind a desk (?) and the other is sitting to the left of the desk (?).
Origin
From donor: Platanos village. Shows the interior of the Farm Club. Activities range from home economics to child care. Note the picture of the royal family and Christ, the dresses made by the girls, the folded loom and the slogans on the walls. The young lady at the desk was in charge of the place. She welcomed me with coffee and cold water. Seated is my guide Kpkkinides. See also the folded loom, which is used to teach the women and girls of the village the art of weaving. The neatness of the place was impressive.
