Object Description
A black and white photograph of four men at an event. The men are dressed in suits, Pierre Demets stands on the right it wearing a bow tie and is carrying a walking stick, while the others all wear ties. The man all the way to the left, and the man second to the right both have metal medals around their necks. There are many people in the background. The man second to the right has his arm around the man on the right, and wears glasses.

Photograph donated by Thula DeMets, who was married to Pierre DeMets. This is a portrait of four men following unknown ceremony. Pierre DeMets is at the far right.

Pierre A. DeMets who served as Building Committee Chairman. Mr. DeMets energetically served the community as parish president for fifteen years, the longest tenure in the history of the congregation. He saw the church building and school move from blueprint to completion, from exterior to interior, with much attention to detail and finance.

She was a member of the Midlothian Country Club, former member of SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, St. Andrew Philoptochos and a 25 year volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago.
