Shown (l to r) Pearl Swiney, Gus Flesor, Charlie Hawkins, Dusty Rhodes, Coxey Jones, Eli -urphy, Clyde Larimer, Anne Pig Baker and Tom Flesor."

Gus Flesor was born in Pigadakia, Greece in 1879. He married Sophia Tingos in Illinois in 1914, and they had eight children. He moved to Tuscola, Illinois in 1901 and opened the Tuscola Kandy Kitchen. Two of his brothers, Tom and Nicholas, came from Greece to help with the candy store. Gus died in 1978.
