Object Description
Handloomed wool and cotton bedspread (or wall hanging) in shades of red and multicolored stripes, though it is mostly red. The other stripes are at the top and the bottom. Colors of the stripes include blue, orange, beige, brown, and white.
Origin
Anthusa and her older sister Marusa each lived to be 100 and never married. They stayed with their parents and cared for them. Their parents (Basilion and Penelope Pappadakis) lived to 107 and 93, respectively. A chapel in honor of Anthusa and Marusa has been placed at the monestary by the village people of Ronstika, Rethimna, Crete, Greece.
