Object Description
The background of the rug is beige with a black border, which has red squares on the interior edge. The center has a big flower in burgundy with green spots on the eight petals outlined in red. It is surrounded by four leaves with brown on the bottom edge and through the middle. The center of the flower is yellow surrounded by black. There are two flowers on the rug. It also has beige fringes.
Origin
The gift agreement states that this rug was woven in the village on a loom.

Kilim is a word of Turkish origin for a pileless rug typically woven with the slitweave technique.
