Object Description
Printed postcard depicting a village on the banks of a lake in muted shades of gray and taupe.  The top of the postcard is mostly light gray sky with billowy white clouds filling in its lower right hand quadrant.  Poised against the sky is the silhouette of distant mountains.  White washed village homes and buildings gather in front of those mountains and are snuggled together at the banks of the lake.  A rustic wooden pier juts out from the left of the picture where small figures wearing colorful coats are seen at each end.  There is an empty fishing boat floating in the water next to the pier.  A row boat with two people in it is seen in open water on the right.  On the left side close to shore, a fisherman is bending over either standing in a boat or in the water.  At the bottom of the picture, large dark boulders extend from left to right in the foreground and create a visual anchor for the picture.
Beneath the picture, the words "Vue du fond de la ville de Geneve en 1777" are printed in simple black font.
