Object Description
PART OF TRADITIONAL GREEK COSTUME - BLACK WITH GOLD EMBROIDERED TRIMMING.
Origin
This garment called a "yileki" in many parts of northern Greece and a "tzipouni" or "zipouni" in many other areas was worn throughout Greece in a number of provinces adn villages. The embroidery is of pure gold thread and was stiched by professional male embroiders called "terzides"
