Object Description
Brass bottle opener with the image of a galley. The galley is show sailing on a green sea. The ship hasa red sail, oars, a black hull, and a blue cabin and decoration on the stern. There is a red flag flying from the top of the mast. The ship is set against an off-white background.
Origin
Donated by Helen Gravenites. Bought in Greece in 1974 as a souvenir. The Greeks have a strong history of shipbuilding and seafaring. The oared galley is the ship commonly associated with Greece.
