Object Description
A hand-woven "Panta" tapestry. It is a red fabric with a blue rope along the edges. On the tapestry there are close to 10 people who are dressed in colored dresses and some are wearing sandals. They are wearing blue, red, and green dresses and most of them have dark colored hair. They all seem to be moving around and under them there are words, most likely names of the people, in greek.
Origin
Hand-made by the great great grandmother of the donor in Greece . Made using local wool and a loom.

This tapestry depicts the 9 muses and would have ben hung as a decoration in a household. It was created on a loom, but the edging and names of the muses were added later by hand.
